George Washington By Benji George Washington (February 22, 1732 to December 14, 1799) was a military general and the first president of the United States of America. His military career started when he was 21 in 1753. He was sent to Ohio during the French and Indian war to protect British land. When the French took over Fort Necessity he helped to get the fort back. On June 15, 1775 Washington became commander of the Continental Army.
George Washington was born in 1731 in the colony of Virginia. He grew up in an upper-class family as the oldest of his mother’s six children. He is best known for being the first president of the United State but he was also a skilled surveyor, a businessman, and general. Everything he did he put his full effort into and never gave up.
Although unrelatable and underappreciated in the eyes of modern history, George Washington shows his greatness through his character. Contemporary culture often neglects to recognise Washington’s greatness. Sadly, he has become a figure so far removed from the ideals and lives of modern Americans, that his name often provokes boredom. Nonetheless, his character proved to be perfect for what America needed during his life. His greatness was largely due to chance.

When Adams was growing up he had a young and productive life, Adams would help farm on his family farm in Braintree, and would play with the towns children around him. Later Adams would move on to college where he learned that he was going to be a great public speaker, and not a minister, as his Deacon John wanted Adams to be. Adams would go on to become a well-known lawyer in Boston. There Adams would have one of the most important case of his career.
