On June 15, 1775, Washington was appointed Major General and Commander-in-Chief of colonial forces. Washington was the colonies’ best choice because he had experience, had been advising the congress, and the biggest factor that went into it was that if he had not been given the job Virginia, a key colony in the resistance, would have backed out. Washington’s troops were not very successful and they lost many battles, but they were victorious in March of 1776 when they forced the British to withdraw from Boston. He then moved his troops to New York City where they fought in the largest battle of the revolution. The british army launched an attack that killed 2,800 men.

Prior to this election, the United States operated under the Articles of Confederation. In this system, the federal government had no chief executive but was instead led by the congress of the confederation. However, this all changed with the augmentation of the executive branch into the constitution.
A plethora of modern societies evolved out of societies that were mostly focused on agriculture. This is because in the time before the industrial revolution, males who had high endurance as well as high physical strength translated directly to their political power. For example, General George Washington fought in the war and led men tactically, after the war he was nominated to become president because of his strengths on a battlefield. Women of society were not really allowed to fight in wars and were seen as weaker which can be seen to have a direct link to their political power. On the other hand, the ability to conceive children is the main factor of human existence.
George Washington is one of the most courageous leaders to ever live, some of his qualities include intelligence, good morals, strength, and leadership. George Washington was very intelligent without as much education as many other children of upper-class families got at his time. He studied math and surveying at school but his schooling ended at fifteen. At age 17 George Washington became the Culpeper county surveyor. He built up his wealth and bought land putting him on the road to becoming very rich.
During the eighteenth century, the American Revolution ended and the Constitution was born. Before the Constitution, the failed attempt of government, the Articles of Confederation, left the states with too much power and a weak central government. Following the formation of the new government, George Washington took office as the United States’ first president. Prior to this he was a general who fought in the Revolutionary War. Having been a successful general, he was elected into office.
Imagine being the leading General of the Continental Army, George Washington. Imagine living in his big, fancy, house at Valley Forge. Now imagine being a soldier living at Valley Forge. No difference, right? Wrong.
George Washington was a very amazing man. He played a very important role in the Revolutionary War. He was a successful leader of the fight for independence. He was an amazing president. He made the government better.

George Washington was a very wise and smart man. he is most commonly seen as the father of the united states. with his thoughts and beliefs of creating a nation that does not have a political party and that believes in the freedom of others. In today's standards, however, If George Washington was able to see the American nation we have become he would be mortified.
President George Washington had to be brave in order to make the bold decisions that he had to make when facing one of the worlds largest, and well put together armies of the world. While the British army had men who have been trained to fight and win, the confederate army had nothing but farmers, blacksmiths, and maybe even some bakers. Not to mention, that some of these men that were being recruited to fight along side of Washington had never even held a gun before. Yet, he was able to see things that no one else could see, he knew that there was a way to win their freedom. He knew that it was going to take time, effort, and lots and lots of training.
Although unrelatable and underappreciated in the eyes of modern history, George Washington shows his greatness through his character. Contemporary culture often neglects to recognise Washington’s greatness. Sadly, he has become a figure so far removed from the ideals and lives of modern Americans, that his name often provokes boredom. Nonetheless, his character proved to be perfect for what America needed during his life. His greatness was largely due to chance.
Out of the three that are listed here I think that his part in the American Revolution was the most important. Without him we wouldn’t have a leader, nor would we have continued to fight on. This was the first step to our new nation and without him we would have given up/still be under British rule. People like Washington have given people a voice and has motivated them throughout the years. He had kept our hopes up whenever we felt the need to give up and because of his role/actions we are our own

This book focuses on Washington's wartime service which became some of his major contributions to the United States, rather than merely telling the true story of Washington, its main thesis is focusing on analyzing his contributions and how his governorship had affected the American history. Washington's life is divided into three areas in this book.
