There were some notable inmates that were held in Eastern State a few being Willie Francis Sutton, Leo Callahan, Al Capone and Freda Frost. Each inmate was unlike the other in every aspect of their lives. The inmates that attended ESP were all extraordinary criminals of their time period. The Title IX is a law that requires all education programs, mainly sports, that are federally funded to have gender equality. In 1906 the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) was created for formatting and enforcing rules in men's football, but it soon became the ruling body for college athletics. The NCAA was great for men but not so much for women, women did not get athletic scholarships and there were no championships for women's teams. In 1972 the Title IX was signed by President Nixon and passed, allowing more women to join sports teams and get college degrees. Currently there are more than 2.6 million girl athletes in high school and more than 150,000 in college.

In reviewing the Arizona Department of Education’s, (ADE) career and technical education (CTE) program standards for the emergency medical services (EMT), it became clear that the State of Arizona operates from an abbreviated version of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) standards. The curriculum for EMT is a national standard curriculum and is the foundation of EMS prehospital training. In addition, the new curriculum parallels the recommendations of the National EMS Education. The ADE, uses the National Registry for Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) testing as the summative assessment upon completion of the program secondary and post-secondary schools. Although the ADE has a significant role in the continuous success of EMT programs and curriculum, the students and educational programs are directed by the Arizona Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (AZBEMS).
I am Cadet Captain Mejia and I have been in JROTC my whole high school career (4 years). It has been a crazy 4 years, from being cadet of the month my freshmen year to being color guard commander my senior year. JROTC has been a roller coaster for me, I loved JROTC my freshmen year. I did everything my first year in JROTC, I was in color guard, drill team, unarmed drill team, and raiders team! I did almost all color guard performances.
The U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) is a program that was designed to teach high school students citizenship values, personal responsibility, and leadership all while using a military structure to teach students teamwork and self discipline. JROTC prepares the future of our nation to be a law abiding citizens in society. With the passage of the National Defense Act of 1916, JROTC was born. Today, in the 21st century, JROTC differs from 100 years ago. Without a doubt, JROTC will change in the 22nd century to adapt to social norms like today.
Recieveing this letter that I was inducted to be in the National Junior Honor Society made my heart beat faster than I’d ever keep track of, knowing that I was more of a gifted student. Every heart beat was building up my stimulation about this honor, telling me that I demonstrate scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership, and service. To know that I have all of those traits in me makes me feel more of a part of this society, and has made me begin to realize the considerable things that I’ve done. This oppertunity is great for me because I can expand my inner and outer school activities to show what great things I do in my time. I truly enjoy having a mental achievement in school, knowing that my grades sit at the top of the A’s shelf and hardly sit on level B.

In Austin, Texas, members of the Texas State Board of Education use persuasion to gain votes for their personal beliefs on whether teaching methods and textbook standards should be revised or upheld. Among the board members are citizens who are a variety of educators. Also, there are experts who come to voice their knowledge of new findings, and debate about old and new educational facts. Although there were experts, there was much debate on spoken facts.
My life has been like a roller coaster running on its tracks going through the twists and turns and the ups and downs. Much like a rollercoaster being guided along with the urge to keep pushing forward my life has been driven by three vigorous passions that burn deep within the pit of my soul: the significance of family, the desire to help others, and the exhilarating feeling of exploring new destinations. Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions, but our roots remain as one. As the youngest of three children I’ve been able to learn from the mistakes of my older siblings to help contribute to my development as a young man.

Teachers must address the curricular needs of each student to evaluate what they know. How is the process governed, and what is required? What should we be doing? The Texas Education Agency (TEA, 2021) governs what schools should be teaching students at every level and ultimately how that knowledge is assessed.
I feel as if I am a good candidate for GCU for many reasons.
