Squealing is all that is heard, blood on the floor, pigs that have rashes and are stuck in cages too small for them. The pigs never turn around or move more than an inch because the cages are too small. Some research was done on this very topic to see if it was true and the conclusion is that it should be stopped. Gestation crates are inhumane, unhealthy, and it causes bacteria to get stronger. This claim shall now be proven.

Gestation crates are inhumane. The reason gestation crates are inhumane is because the pigs never get to move. The cages are only two feet wide, the animals can’t even turn around. They chew on the bars, wave their heads incessantly back and forth, or lie on the pavement in an apparent state of dejection. Gestation crates are not cheaper than group housing in the long run. Researchers at Iowa State University compare the costs of gestational crates and group housing, which allows animals to move around and socialize, they found that group housing was cheaper. “The Humane Society of the United States. In conclusion, factories should not use gestation crates. Gestational crates are inhumane, unhealthy, and make bacteria stronger. Group housing is also cheaper than gestation crates in the long run. Now with all these supporting facts, no factory should ever use gestation crates. Now is the time to be think about the food you buy and where it comes from, simply not buying from factories that teach animals this way would make them
