Introduction
Global warming is an increase in the Earths surface temperature due to, mainly, greenhouse gases. These greenhouse gases trap heat that would escape the Earths atmosphere, thus causing the increase in the Earths surface temperature. The increase in the surface temperature causes climate change which disrupts many lives, such as animal and plant life. If the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide is trapped or builds up in the atmosphere, alongside methane gas, it can stay in the atmosphere for decades or centries.
Each country, continent or person has its own contribution to global warming through its carbon footprint. The greenhouse gas footpprint is the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted during the production of goods

China should, however, also take blame or responsiblity because in their industrial revoulution, they accumulated large amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, so much that they surpassed the USA. Developing countries should also be blamed as they also contribute to greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere and they also surpassed the developed countries in the total amounts of carbon emissions. Steps taken by different countries towards lessening their carbon footprints will and do play a vital role in trying to combat the issue of global warming. Developed or richer countries should, however, invest in helping developing or poorer countries in taking these steps to bettering their way of living and reducing their carbon
