Global Warming Informative Essay
So what exactly is global warming? Global warming also referred to as climate change is the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth 's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants in the air today. There are two causes of global warming, human influences and also natural causes. Global warming is increasing day by day because of all the natural causes going on. A greenhouse is a glass building that contains plants in it that needed to be protected from cold weather. These greenhouses attract heat from many things like the

Now another natural cause of global warming is the rising of the seas. The biggest reason for sea level rising is that global warming is causing the air to be warmer and that 's causing glaciers and ice-caps to melt. Sea level rise would affect about 11 out of the 15 biggest cities in the world. The reason this is happening because gases are being released into the atmosphere which is causing the temperatures to rise, which causes the seas to rise. Sea level rising means more money that we have to spend for people living on the coastlines because coastal populations are growing and people are crowding into coastal areas and that area could be underwater in a few years if sea levels keep rising how they have been. And when I mean more money I mean billions and billions of …show more content…
With deforestation being one of these roles because when we chop down these trees and plants of where animals habitats our it also releases a lot of carbon dioxide into the air. And if you didn’t know forests are major carbon storage centers, when deforestation happens all the carbon dioxide that is stored in these forests; is released back into the atmosphere. Deforestation not only contributes to changes in the climate, it also causes localized changes in the weather. Trees transpire, or release water into the atmosphere, during photosynthesis. This water replenishes clouds and maintains rainfall. Without the transpiration of trees, deforested areas become drier. Changes in weather and shelter cause deforested areas to undergo a tremendous loss of biodiversity. The scientist hasn’t even come close to testing 1% of the plants in the tropical rainforests for medicinal use, but they regularly discover species that are helpful to us the people. But, these forests and their potential benefits are looking like they may disappear by the end of this century if we don’t stop
