The question “do you believe in God” comes up rarely in today's news, social media, schools, public places, etc. Now I'm not here to tell you what you should believe in , no I'm here to give you an open mind and also give you some examples on how an forgotten God can be unforgettable. Now , if we go back in time and look at our timeline of schools and religion we can see that Compulsory School Law started in Massachusetts in January 1642, also the "Old Deluder Satan “ this law was made to make sure children read their bibles in school. The Supreme Court wondered why not the bible and why they didn't want their children to be able to learn for themselves and what they truly believe in. A lot of people questioned rather or not do they want their children to learn religion in schools. In 1892 The American Teachers Union announces that schools should continue the practice of teaching morals from the Bible. This declaration is significant at that time because schools were being turned over to the various states from the Christian Churches this was called the American teachers union supports teaching on morals from the bible. So basically during the 1800’s they allowed religion in schools and they actually prefered to have children learn about religion. But that soon ended why people wanted to start sueing the school for teaching religious views.
