This source was a breakdown of each state in Australia where Gold was found and described how the living conditions and life was in those states. This source was useful as it gave a clear insight as to how the Australian economy was effected during the Gold Rush. Although the book was split into information on each state of Australia, the book did explain Australia's effects on economy from the Gold Rush as a whole. This information was found in the Victorian section of the book. This information was most likely the most most relevant to my question because during the Gold Rush, Victoria was the biggest producer of Gold in Australia. But since my question is about Australia as a whole, I can't use all of the information provided in this section of the book.

This source was not very useful towards my research on my topic as, like some of the other sources, focused purely on one state in Australia. This time it was Victoria. The limited information I got out of this source was sound and could be applied to for the rest of Australia which with more research could be quite valuable in the future. The downside of this source is that, while it does have a sound source of how the Gold Rush effected the Australian Gold Rush, most of the information is an overview of the Gold Rush in that state. This source also focused heavily on the second Australian Gold Rush which was after 1901, so was not very
