In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding is about a group of boys stranded on an island trying to remain alive by either making good or evil choices. Just like every person in this world, people have a devil on one shoulder, and an angel on the other. In the Lord of The Flies book, at the time of the boys staying on the island they were trying to make good decisions like Piggy but most of them ended up rather making evil choices like Jack. Then we have others that are stuck among the good and evil like Ralph. An example of something evil from the novel can be like this one quote from Simon in chapter 5 “Maybe there is a beast.. Maybe it’s only us” This evidence shows where he assumes that there is some quality of wickedness seeking onto the boys on the island, and denies the approach of a beast. Piggys mentality is more on the good side rather than having an evil savagery mentality. Another given proof on how Piggy is on the good side is when he refused to help Jack and the boys to hunt and kill the pig, when Jack was forcing Piggy to join them.
