One hot and sunny summer day in Middleberry, Vermont, The two best friends Marie and Amelia, were walking around their town. They were heading to their most favorite restaurant in Middleberry called Grannies Café. “I am so hungry,” remarked Marie. “I know, but Grannies Café is only a few more blocks away,” said Amelia. “I don’t feel very normal, you now some suspicious things have been happening around town lately,” said Marie. “I know, everyone was acting suspicious ever since the vase shop has been robbed,” said Amelia shyly. The girls passed the old stores and shops hoping to find answers at Grannies Café. Once they arrived, Marie broke the silence, “Do you think I should order a cheeseburger? I still …show more content…
“You should, and maybe we can ask Louisa Jane about the odd activity. She is the owner of the café,” said Amelia. “Okay can we just eat?” replied Marie. The two girls walked into the restaurant and were seated by an old waitress named Clara. “We would like two Shirley Temples please,” said Marie. “Okay, they’ll be here soon,” replied Clara. The two girls were very eager to find Louisa and ask of any unfamiliar activities going on, even possibly supernatural. In some parts of Vermont the supernatural has been experienced. “Do you want to get up and ask for Louisa?” asked Marie. “Why not,” said Amelia. As the girls got up a very strange man, a mysterious man dressed in all black, walked into Grannies Café holding a very large bag. The girls entered the kitchen and went over to Louisa. “Hey Louisa, can we talk to you?” said the girls. “Of course, What can it be for my two favorite customers?” said the old lady filled with joy. “We wanted to ask you if anything suspicious has been going on lately, we had heard about the crime at the vase shop.” said Marie. “No, just watch,” remarked Amelia. Both girls watched as the man took a vase out of his big black bag and closed the door. And the girls soon noticed they weren’t the only ones watching. A policeman was too. “What do you think you’re doing?” called the officer to the man. “Um. . . I was just. . .”nervously announced the man. “Wait a second, are you the thief that stole the vase at the local vase shop” said the officer angrily. “Yes I am, and, I’m very proud of it too, well actually . . . um . . . no, I’m not,” replied the man. The girls could tell that he was a terrible liar. “You girls did a big favor for us. We have been after him down for six months!” said the officer happily. The girls smiled and looked up admiringly at the officer. All of the sudden, Louisa jumped out from behind the girls, pointing a fork at the criminal. “It’s already settled, Louisa,” said the officer smiling. “Oh, sorry,” replied Louisa. “Now you are coming with me!” said the officer while putting handcuffs over the criminal’s wrists. Everyone was watching as the officer headed towards the door. “Hold on!” called Marie, while running towards the officer with the criminal’s bag. “Don’t you want to check the bag for evidence?” asked Marie. “Yeah,” said Amelia slowly.
