760 Words4 Pages

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Darcy, she lied all the time.
When her mother said,“Darcy did you clean your room?”
Darcy answered back,“Yes” Though she didn’t.
When her friends asked her if she had ever been to concerts, she said, “Yeah, I’ve gone to so many.”
When her brother asked, “Darcy! Did you use all the hot water?”
She replied with a simple,“No.”
Her mother said that all the lying was going to get back at her when she least expects it, Darcy laughed at the thought.
Later that week Darcy was walking through the market when an old lady asked her for help.
But as usual, Darcy lied and said, “Um, I have to go home right now my mother has fallen ill.”
The old lady looked into her eyes, smiled then said, “Very well, good luck.” …show more content…

She began stuttering, but then ran off.
She couldn’t think straight, in math she divided wrong. In English she couldn’t write an essay for her life, in her electives, she couldn’t stop spacing off.
Finally, when the day was over, she was so glad that she practically ran home. The eyes of the old lady were unsettling.
But coming home didn’t help, because there she was the old lady in her kitchen having tea with her mom.
A few seconds flew by, and her mom finally noticed her presence and smiled. She said, “Sweetie, this is Mrs. Aldaine, say hi.then get ready for …show more content…

Aldaine extended her hand and said, “Yes, I’ve already meet Darcy.” Darcy shook her hand, then excused herself.
After dinner, Darcy was just ready to go to bed, but her mother asked her, “Honey can you take Mrs. Aldaine home it’s too dark out, for her to be alone.”
Darcy didn’t want to, so she said, “I’ve got a ton of homework.”
Her mother said, “Darcy it will just be a few minutes, she’s just moved into the house on the other side of the street.”
Darcy sighed knowing she would not win. “Okay,” she piped up after a few minutes.
Halfway there Mrs.Aldaine stopped and said, “Lying will tear apart every relationship you have.”
Stunned Darcy turned and was met with the same eyes as before, she was sucked in somehow and saw the future.
The first scene included her friends.
“Darcy why did you lie,” Mathilda asked, one of her friends.
“We can’t be friends with a lier,” said Gracie, her other friend.
Then another scene, but this time it was her brother
“Darcy I can’t trust you,” her brother said.
“But why?”
“Because you lie all the time, I wish I wasn’t related to you, you embarrass me.”
Finally her mother.
“Mom, please, I really want to go.”
“No.”
“But-”
“But nothing, I can’t trust you, you are unreliable.”
