The documentary that just recently aired on Netflix about Amanda Knox was very eye-opening and viewers could get a better insight on what exactly occurred. There was real-time footage and the questions that were in the backs of every person's mind were answered. Interviews were also held with significant others such as Amanda Knox, herself, Raffaele, the boyfriend and their family members. The case as a whole was out of control and messy, but Nick Pisa who wrote for the Daily Mail, revealed it was in fact a simple case but the media had torn it apart to include various ridiculous perspectives.
The victim of the case was Meredith Kercher, 21 at the time who had traveled from South London to study in Perugia, Italy for a year. She was bright, …show more content…

On November 1st, 2007, Meredith was found brutally murdered in her bedroom at the cottage, mostly nude with a stab wound in her throat with a knife. Since the throat was stabbed, the blood had spread everywhere onto the walls and floor, not just her own body. The suspect had a slim chance of not being stained by Meredith's blood. Perugia was shocked and Amanda Knox quickly became a person of interest since she was the first victim at the scene when police got there and also her behavior was out of the ordinary. Amanda met her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito six days before this and was at his apartment the night of the murder. Another point was that the police had told Amanda Knox that she had HIV but that was false. Knox was fragile in prison and the police had wanted a list of people she had intercourse with. They wanted to see if they would gain witnesses or suspects and the theory was that multiple people were involved. It wasn't predictable and most likely was just a motive to mess with Knox's head to believe that she did had HIV.
The Amanda Knox case became worldwide and it was extremely controversial on who did what. I think the documentary was made to clear up any confusion there still may be about it because viewers can see a bird's eye perspective of everything & note the small details or information that was never mentioned. There were reliable sources involved and there wasn't any twist from the media. It was well done and someone who would have never heard about the case would have gotten a large chunk of
