Greed In The Pardoner's Tale

The Pardoners Tale talks about a pardoner, authorized by the church, that sells pardons to people to forgive their sins, that tells a story about greed. He claims “radix malorum est cupiditas”, or that greed is the root of all evil, even though he is greedy by himself. The tale is about three rioters that committed all kinds of sins like gluttony, drunkeness, gambling and swearing. One day, they notice a funeral passing by ,and discover that his friend is dead, and "death" killed him. They than decide to go , and find death and kill death (as if "death" is a human person that can be found and be killed). An old man ,who they were making fun of, lead them to death by telling :" Death is under the oak tree". They went there , and saw a big treasure. We can mention the one only Hitler also called "Führer". This man was a great leader but not a good one. His desire to purify the world from Jews and rule it isn't a good thing. He did everything to achieve it , and when he was being destroyed, when his country was being destroyed, he killed himself. That's one thing about all dictators, if they lose they wont give up to their enemy. The best solution for them was death(suicide). Hitler wants more and more and loses everything because his enemies unite together to defeat him. He want to beat the weak ones, just like the rioters do with the old man, but he end up beating himself. Also, we see people eveyday that crave to play at gumbling, they are a truly example of the rioters.
