So, where can i pick up. Let's see, Nico woke up, i found out about Greek gods, i freaked out a little (OK, i freaked out a lot. Happy, Nico?) and then I told him about Brooklyn house. I know, it was a bit risky. I didn't know hardly anything about the Greeks For all i knew, they could have came and attacked us. But somehow, i trusted the strange boy who tried to kill Freak. (Don't get a big head, Nico, i said i trusted you. It not like i said i was in awe or anything.)

So, it sounded like Nico was going to tell me something important. He stared to say something about a camp, but then a knock on the door and Sadie's voice stopped him. I told him to go, promised to meet him the next day, and opened the door.

"Hey, Sadie." I said, trying to …show more content…

"You...could have told me that before."

Sadie just sighed again. "I know, i know, but we thought it was safer to no let anyone know about those things. They might worry, or try to find out what they were, and get hurt."

"If that's true, then why are you telling me this?"

"Well," Sadie said. "I realized that we shouldn't be hiding from these things. We need to know what these are so we know how to defeat them. Also...I felt bad. We should have told you the truth."

I considered this and nodded. "You're right, you should have. But's it's OK. I forgive you. So...is that the only reason you're here? To apologize?"

Sadie looked relieved then shook her head. "Actually, no. There's something else. Tonight me, Carter, and a few other initiates are going to Texas, to get the last special copy of the Book of the Dead."

I knew that Apophis was destroying certain copies of the Book of the Dead, and i knew that Carter, Sadie,Walt, and other people were searching for them. But they were always too late. The books were destroyed.

"Why are you telling me this," I asked. I usually wasn't included on missions. I was too unpredictable.

"Natalie...we want you to come with us." Sadie said, …show more content…

Yeah, cause that's totally smart."

Sadie laughed. "Maybe a little bit of uncontrollable is just what we need."

I looked at her like she was crazy. "Excuse me?"

"Listen, everyone here is used to your magic. Apophis...not so much."

I didn't know whether to be insulted or not. "Used to my magic? what's that supposed to mean?" Of course, i knew what she meant, but hey, i had to defend my pride some how. (Yes Nico, i have some pride.)

"You know what i mean. So, will you come?"

I considered this. "OK...I'll come. It sounds like fun."

Sadie snorted. "Sure, nothing sound more fun then going to Texas to protect an ancient Egyptian book, which is being hunted by a giant chaos snake."

"Well, when you put it that way..." We both laughed and Sadie stood up. "Get ready...we'll leave in an hour." I nodded and she walked out.

Right when she left I flopped onto my bed and grinned. I was finally going on a mission. But, even after all the excitement Nico was still on my mind. I suddenly remembered my promise to meet him and i jotted it down on a scrap piece of paper and stuck it where i would see it. Then i started to prepare for
