societies, cultures, communities, religion manipulates these stories and myths to satisfy their own needs. We know that our society is patriarchal and those who are in power will set certain norms and structure in it for they always live in fear of losing power. All most all the cultures and religion imposes this power on women as they fear the power of women for she has the ability to reproduce and making sure that the human race continues to exist. Biologically, females are weaker than males and this is also a very prominent reason for males that they can so easily exercise their power over females. Men fear women because, imagine what will happen to society and order if say few hundreds women don't want to get married or reproduce and that's why single women are a threat to the society and therefore it is the so called responsibility of patriarchal society to control female sexuality. Societies and cultures have just invented and created stories and most of the time the writers were men as women were unprivileged. They condemned women and tried to find faults in them and demonized them. They "Structured" myth and stories to suit and cater their purpose because the word 'myth' is taken from the Greek mythos meaning "plot". So in the formation of cultures whether a story is factually true or not is irrelevant but these myths and stories have greatly influenced the human psych and it affects the society in many ways.
