Problem Statement
Gulf & Burger is located in Florida. The restaurant is experiencing a huge shortage of employees due to a large number of absences. Friday is the busiest day for Gulf & Burger. Many customers arrive at the restaurant, especially during lunchtime. Therefore, employees must be orderly and fast in preparing orders for the customers. In this case, the operation of Gulf & Burgers last Friday was not good because of many employees who had been absent. Employees are required to perform a task that is not in line with them to provide the customer 's order at the exact service time. However, as employees work faster, they commit unexpected mistakes. As a result, tasks become more slowly.
Constraints
A. Scope of the Problem
― Create an organizational guideline and policies about the employee’s absences including sick leave and vacation leave. This will help the management to monitor their other activities.

There are two criteria to consider such as cost and time. The first is to keep track of sick leave and vacation leave of an employee. It requires enough time and organizational staff, the HR of Gulf & Burgers should keep track of the employee activities. Secondly, by implementing the allowed number of sick leave and vacation leave will become an additional cost to Gulf & Burgers. But this policy can help the organization to reduce the unwanted absences of the workers. Third, conducting a return-to-work interview by an employee will bring more time to the organization. HR should evaluate the employee in regards to medical, financial, or psychological attention. Lastly, providing an incentive, reward, and training system for employees will cost more time and money in the organization.
