Imagine living in a world where you have to hide your feelings, thoughts and you have to hide the world's most prized possession, books. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is story about a man named Guy Montag who meets a girls named Clarisse and when he does he starts to question his life. Guy Montag's life was great but sense he knows more than the average person he is an enemy to society. Montag thought he was living a good life but because of Clarisse giving him different aspects on life he really starts to rethink everything. For example, when Claisse told Montag about the kids in school and how they all think the same Montag started to realize that everyone is living the same lifestyle. Another example is how everyone is trying to kill them self, when Montag's wife was trying to kill herself with the pills, the fireman told Montag that he had gotten a few calls with the same problem. In this book killing is a completely normal thing. For example, on pages (36 and 37) it talks about how an old woman was being burnt just for reading books. Later in the day Montag tells his wife, Mildred about the old woman being burnt and her response to the event was,”well.” Another example of this happened when Mildred's friends were talking about their husbands and the war and this is what one of themsaid,”I've never known any dead man killed in a war.
