Act 1, Scene 1: “Let us impart what we have seen tonight Unto young Hamlet, for, upon my life, This spirit, dumb to us, will speak to him” (Crowther 16). I think this quote really sets up things for the next act, and the rest of the play. The ghost would not talk to them, so they decided to tell Hamlet about the ghost because they felt it would talk to him. This sets up Hamlet to discover the ghost who is his late father, and learn about his murder. Act 1, Scene 2: “Together with all forms, moods, shapes of grief, That can denote me truly” (Crowther 24).
The soliloquy in Act 4 Scene 4 of Hamlet by Shakespeare is a crucial part of the play, as Hamlet decides to seek revenge for his father’s death. In this scene, the central theme of revenge is accompanied by themes of religion, decay, and corruption. Hamlet sees Fortinbras’ army and realizes how many men bravely faced death to defend their honor; this enables him to connect to his father’s murder and how he should seek vengeance. The sight of the army not only influences Hamlet’s actions, but also demonstrates the political discourse during the time of the play. These themes of decay and corruption are addressed in the political discourse in this scene along with Hamlet’s use of religion to justify seeking revenge.
He begins by questioning who the ghost is and why it has come in the form of the dead king of Denmark (ll. 46-49). In line 46, Horatio uses the term “usurp’st,” which, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is defined as “[taking] the place of someone in a position of power illegally”(Oxford English Dictionary, 2015). This demonstrates that Horatio does not believe that this apparition is the spirit of Hamlet’s father, for he accuses the ghost of stealing the form of the king. Following this accusation, Marcellus states that the spirit seems offended by what Horatio as said and Barnardo points out that it begins to walk away (ll. 50-51). When delivering these lines, the actors of Marcellus and Barnardo should sound concerned, for they would like to figure out what this apparition is before taking the news of it to Hamlet.
A few soldiers on guard report to him that his father’s ghost has been seen, and he sees the ghost when he goes with them the next night. The ghost tells him that his uncle killed him to get his crown and his wife, and makes Hamlet swear to avenge his death. Hamlet decides to pretend to be

“Three. Two. One. Action!” As the scene starts to take off, we take a moment and think about what we would do to stage the scene. What kind of lighting, set decorations, different camera angles, and music we’d use to display what’s happening.
The reason one knows that Hamlet is the only one capable of speaking with the spirit is because Horatio, along with Marcellus, are only able to see it. Whenever they try speaking to the spirit, it simply disappears, and the first time it stayed is when it directed Hamlet to follow it. “It beckons you to go away with it,/As if it some impartment did desire/To you alone” (Shakespeare I.iv.60-63). The only reason that the ghost is speaking is because Hamlet allowed it to separate him from the rest of the group. The second that Hamlet finished speaking with the spirit, his behavior changed, and Horatio was able to notice quickly.
“Communism, fundamentally, a system of social organization in which property (especially real property and the means of production) is held in common.” (Communism 1) In the modern usage, the term Communism means a movement that aims to overthrow the capitalist order. In other words, to establish a classless society in which all goods will be socially owned. Russia and China are both the two largest countries to be communist government. This became because of violent revolutions in both countries which led to the former government and ruling party to be executed in both parties.
In Scene One, characters are first deceived by appearances with the ghost’s entrance. Horatio waits with Bernardo and Marcellus to see if a ghost will truly appear. After his initial skepticism, he attempts to reason why the late king would appear. He says, “‘That I can./ At least the whisper goes so: our last king,/ Whose image/ even but now appear’d to us,/ Was as you know by Fortinbras of Norway,’”
In the midst of Hamlet’s confrontation with his mother, the ghost appears and stares at him. Hamlet breaks down and tells the ghost not to look at him that way unless he wants him to cry instead of being powerful enough to get his revenge. The ghost of Hamlet first appeared while the guards, Marcellus and Bernardo, were on guard late at night. Initially, they were unaware that the ghost was of King Hamlet, despite the similar appearance. From this point on, Hamlet’s mindset and motives would be altered for the remainder of the play. Hamlet stood on guard the following evening in hopes of seeing the ghost himself. Once the ghost appeared, Hamlet’s spiral into insanity began as he said “O, answer me!
This was a plan that Hamlet and Horatio made in order to know if what the ghost said was true. At that moment, everyone on Denmark came to the castle to watch
It has been argued by many literary critics that the ghost is a figment of Hamlet`s imagination, despite Barnardo, Mercutio and Horatio witnessing it before the prince, potentially indicating that it is real because three level headed characters view it first. However, the characters are hesitant about the ghost with Marcellus insisting that they “question it “whilst Barnardo seems to believe “its` not something more than fantasy” which creates uncertainty about the figure`s identity. Many events over the course of the play indicate Hamlet`s fragile state of mind and how the ghost is only present in his thoughts. For example, the prince`s obsession with his mother`s infidelity could be a reason for the ghost instructing him to murder Claudius.
The ghost of Old Hamlet fuels “Hamlet” as gasoline fuels a car. The importance of the death of Old Hamlet appears evident, for it receives recognition in the first scene of “Hamlet.” The Ghost also appears in the first scene, but his actions remain limited throughout the play. Even though he owns a limited role, the Ghost makes a major impact on “Hamlet” through several ways. Furthermore, without the Ghost, no action would take place in the play.
The old, ghostly first part of the scene make this well known. The Ghost of Old Hamlet (played by Adolfo Herrera), makes this apparent in the first half of the play. As The Ghost of Old Hamlet, who at the time was not “marked”, approaches Horatio (played by Daniel Rodriguez) it becomes known that this apparition is Hamlet’s father. Once the ghost meets Hamlet, he tells Hamlet he is his father and that he died by his own brother’s vial deeds. The structure of the play is climatic.
