What is Happiness? Technically speaking, happiness is a state of well being and contentment and is also known as a pleasurable experience but no one is positive of the true meaning of happiness.”What is happiness? More words have been written about this great philosophical question than any other than perhaps any other…. Happiness is also something every person on the planet strives to achieve. This is an obvious point. Who likes to be sad? Or fearful? Or angry? No one. Even though, it is not healthy to sit around in a bad mood all of the time, the occasional lousy day is not all that bad. Negative emotions; such as sadness, fear, anger; can improve one’s judgement, memory, generosity, reasoning, and encourage perseverance. Not only this, but sadness (as well as other “negative” feelings) can help an individual appreciate the happiness more. It may sound cheesy, but it is true. If someone got their favorite food every single day, would they have a higher appreciation for their favorite food if they didn’t get to enjoy it? There are instances of this all the time and but yet it is overlooked. For example, the saying “You can’t have a rainbow without a little rain” or “Without the darkness, how would we see the stars?” The bad days only make the good days even better. God gave the people of the world the ability to experience not only happiness but all emotions, even the not-so-fun ones. Therefore, humans cannot let one bad day keep us down. One must always look for the bright side in life and remember that if things are not okay at the moment, that does not mean it will not be okay ever
