Harriet Ross Tubman was an American Abolitionist who escaped from slavery and returned repeatedly to the South to lead other slaves to freedom. Harriet Tubman made a huge impact upon slavery. Since she was a slave before, she did no want anyone else to suffer like the way she did. A woman like Harriet Tubman should never be forgotten. She risked her life working on the underground Railroad fighting for what was right. That is what you will be learning about her life and what she experienced

I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.¨ Harriet Tubman really hates seeing slaves and she wants to save all of the slaves so they can all live happier and have a good life so they can enjoy their life. What the quote is saying here is that Harriet Tubman is basically saying that she freed a bunch of slaves. Harriet Tubman actually meant that the people who didn't know were slaves, they have basically been slaves for their whole lives. It is also basically saying that since the people were born, the slave owners made them clean without them even thinking they were slaves. They thought that that was their job to clean everywhere and obeying what the slave owners told them to do but the slaves had no clue that they were slaves.
