Conflict in Harrison Bergeron How the conflict in “Harrison Bergeron” helps communicate the author’s message. In Kurt Vonnegut’s story, ‘Harrison Bergeron’, their are several plots and conflicts that communicate with the Author’s message. I think the author’s message is to show that not everybody is the same and that everybody has different traits. The main conflict of the story ‘Harrison Bergeron’ is to portray that everybody is the same, no one could be different. In ‘Harrison Bergeron’, Harrison was way above smarter than anybody else, he was above intelligence. The government didn 't like that, they wanted everyone to be the same and to act the same.
