The book, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” by J.K. Rowling describes the mysterious happenings at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that lead Harry to what is known as “The Chamber of Secrets.” It is a normal day at the Dursleys, Harry is ignored and bored waiting to go back to Hogwarts because he is on summer break, but something happened. He is visited by Dobby the house elf who proclaims his doings as a way to stop Harry from going back to Hogwarts. One night, The Dursley’s had a dinner party. Harry had just met Dobby and because Harry refused to say he would not return to Hogwarts, Dobby enchanted a bowl of rice pudding and caused it to float. They go to the library to research it and find out that the chamber was opened 50 years ago. The students even found out that a student was killed in it. They even later go to the restricted section to find out how to brew a potion called Polyjuice. Harry, Ron, and Hermione will use it to transform into Slytherin members, Sargus and Goyle, who are Draco’s close friends because they believe Draco might be the Slytherin Heir who will open the chamber. He ended up in the hospital, but because of his heroic efforts he won the match for Gryffindor. While he was in the hospital he saw another first year arrive who was petrified. The school begins to worry how many more victims there will be.
After Harry got out of the hospital he resumed to his normal schedule which included Lockhart’s Defense against the Dark Arts class where there was always something crazy happening. Professor Lockhart decided to begin a dueling club and the first meeting did not go very well. Professor Snape and Draco Malfoy acted evil and when a snake tried to attack a student, Harry spoke parseltongue to the snake. Although Harry did this unknowingly that only Salazar Slytherin could speak parseltongue and everyone thought he might be the heir of Slytherin.
Justin Filch Fenley, the student who Harry saved, believed that Harry was the Slytherin Heir and feared him. The next day he found Justin Finch-Fletchley and Nearly Headless Nick petrified. They were one of the few victims, but people became very worrisome about who else would be
