The sisters asked two African American men, named Johnny Hayes and Mitchell Duckworth, if they could give them a ride because they were stranded due to their car being out of gas. The two men consented and proceeded to give the sisters a ride to their destination. Mrs. Hopewell likes to call Mrs. Freeman and her family “good country people” which is funny because she is being honest.
