Head injuries have become huge and put under the spotlight recently. Most cases we hear about are all in the sports world, especially the NFL. The focus is on the prevention and quick reaction to them to prevent further damage to the person or player. Some common causes of head injuries include work related slips trips and falls, full contact sports, and car accidents just to name a few. In all of these cases, the brain is taken by the momentum of the MOI (mechanism of injury) and is effectively shaken. This stretches blood vessels and may damage cranial nerves.
