First, Medicare and Medicaid are similar with what the two insurances covers. But in another way both are different because Medicare had plans while Medicaid does not. Medicaid provides health and medical services for individuals and families with low income. Some of the mandatory services include inpatient and outpatient hospital services, home health, physician services, x-rays, and family planning. Children and pregnant women are the only one 's that cannot be charged for services. Also, for emergency services the Medicaid beneficiaries must be exempt from copayments. Medicare 's cost sharing is different with each plan. For part A, which is hospital insurances, you do not usually have to pay monthly if you or a spouse was paying Medicare taxes while working. With part B, you have to pay a monthly premium. The amount you pay monthly depends on how much your income is. Part C is the Medicare Advantage plan, your out of pocket cost depends on a variety of things. Some of the things that it does depend on is whether the plan charges, the plan pays for any of your monthly premium, and the type of health care services you need. For part D, the prescription drug plan you will have to pay the premium, yearly deductible, and the cost if you get help. Also, the amount you have to pay depends on the medication you are prescribed, the pharmacy if it is in your plant network, and if you do get help to for your medication through part D cost.
