Another thing we can learn from God and Moses relationship is obedience. Moses obeyed God in everything that God told him to fulfill. When God told Moses to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt, Moses did not stop until he led the Hebrews out of Egypt.
Because God loves His creation, He gave mankind a free will. As Lewis wrote earlier in Mere Christianity, God knew that man would never be happy if he was forced to love God. Lord of the Flies, a book that proudly displays the insanity in all of us. Lord of the Flies is about a group of boys who learn to survive on an island after their plane crashes and leaves them deserted. The 12 year old boys learn to hunt, sleep and survive. In Golding's Lord of the Flies, fear dominates the island as the boys start to fear the unknown, they fear abandonment and they fear their insanity that has gotten the best of them.

Despite being appointed as God’s chosen liberator of the Israelites, Moses is a person incapable of effectively leading his people. Moses’s lack of charisma, confidence, and determination are his greatest flaws as a leader which are demonstrated when he initially fails to stop his fellow Hebrews from fighting. His critical flaws as a leader initiates a chain of failures that will befall the Israelites during their journey and their eventual punishment of never reaching the Promised Land. One of Moses’s greatest shortcomings as a leader is his lack of charisma. He is unable to make the people naturally follow him and his words.
I also found very interesting the ten plagues sent by God upon Egypt when Pharaoh did not want to let the Israelis to leave. Pharaoh thought that by his high degree of hierarchy could disobey God. He paid his disobedience with the death of his firstborn child. Obviously, Pharaoh did not know that when God says something is better to obey, otherwise we will pay the consequences. As the scripture tell us, “We must obey God” (Acts 5:29).
