In Chapter 3, I had a more in depth look into the concepts of Hegemon’s. A Hegemony is thought of as one state who can impose its ideologies on all other states. The current hegemon is the United States and many believe that it will continue to be, although others believe that if any state were to transcend as hegemon, it would be that of China. One thing keeping China from becoming hegemon is that fact that at the moment they are unable to provide key currency to the global economy as does the United States and as did the former hegemon, Britain.
