The book Dear Miss Breed was about the young lives of Japanese Americans that were taken to internment camps during WWII and about a libiran who gave them hope. The librarians name was Miss Clara Breed. Miss Bread knew all the children before they were forced into the internment camps. They would write her letters, telling her how much they were depressed and hated the camps. Knowing their condition, on a daily basis, she would give books to the children that were in the camp.
In the poem “Yet I Do Marvel,” Countee Cullen utilizes allusion, diction, and structure in order to convey his wonder at the path the Lord has chosen for him, and his complete trust that his ways are good, through the comparison of the truly terrible sufferings God has allowed on this earth and his own unorthodox calling. First, Cullen presents allusions in order to illustrate the depth of hopelessness and desperation in the human experience and how God could explain the worst of it all if he chose to. Take, for example, how before he explains how human minds are “too strewn with petty cares to slightly understand” the ways of God, he alludes to “Sisyphus” and his “never ending stair” (Cullen 7, 8, 10, 11). This example insinuates that life mirrors the story of this tragic Greek hero, that the man upstairs has for some reason doomed us to forever struggle at endeavors we can never reach, and in this way highlights the extreme trust that Cullen possesses in order to claim God must have done this for a good reason.
According to Reagan in “About to Meet Her Maker,” abortion was illegal, if it was done when the mother could feel the movement of the fetus. To take care the abortion, police and prosecutor need to cooperate with the doctor. The danger of abortion were death and publication, as the women names who did abortion were put in the newspaper. The State made a lot of law to avoid the increasing number of abortion. However, it was not really working, as many women still did abortion when they needed.

The gods controlled Sisyphus future as implied by the article “The Myth of Sisyphus”. This is similar to how the foster care system effects the work ethic of former foster kids. Sisyphus was meant to have an eternity of misery, just how generations of former foster kids have suffered in the work force. Since the beginning, men have worshipped higher beings. Elaborate stories of the gods and humanity have been passed down through generations; and Homer’s ‘Odyssey’ is an excellent example of this relationship. _________ . The Odyssey’s themes of sacrifice and revenge depict this relationship as both beneficial and detrimental, and necessary for mankind.
Another portion of the text that is worth analyzing is whether or not the poet is a real person or a generalization about all or most poets. All of the lines in the poem use general text and never label a specific person. What’s interesting about the text is that without the title it would be nearly impossible to distinguish whether or not the person the poem is about is a poet or not. The way the text allows the reader to find a figurative meaning to the poem is by being vague enough and

Referring to contemporary issues, the lyrical I would be classified as a lower ranked person since she is black and being occupied as a maid, which clearly makes her powerless and voiceless in society.
The Renaissance period transpired in Europe between the years of 1400 to 1600. Many people who Research and know about important dates such as this say that it occurred earlier or fail off at a later date depending on the country. It brought together the dissimilar periods of the Middle Ages and modern day history, and, depending on the which country it is , overlaps with the Early Modern, Elizabethan and Restoration periods. The Renaissance is of course known to be closest with Italy, where it began around the 14th century, though countries such as Germany, England and France. Of course many of those countries went through many of the same cultural changes and experiences .
For centuries, mortals have scoffed at the actions of the gods, often comparing them to little children arguing over toys. As Honer states, “We men are wretched things.” (Homer) However, what humans fail to realize, is exactly how similar the actions of the immortals are to that of man. The concept that allows readers and audiences to relate to the gods so fully is the fact that they are so similar to humans.

Introduction: Back in 1972 a case was brought up on behalf of 7 students between the ages of 8 and 16, who lived in Washington D.C. These students were students with disabilities. They were excluded from their public schools, and educational services were denied to them. The children were denied entrances to public schools in the District of Columbia due to their mental retardation, emotional issues, ADD, and ADHA (Waddy, 1972). Though the school system did acknowledge that an estimated 12,340 students would not receive schooling due to their disabilities just in the 1971-72 school year (Martin, Martin, & Terman, 1996).
