Overall, Hercules shows the monomyth process a like many other fictional characters and established himself to be a hero. First, Hercules accepts his journey after killing his wife and children, so he set out to all around the world to overcame unstoppable monsters and impossible tasks. Therefore, he crossed into an unknown domain and had to struggle through each of his tasks during the twelve years of enslavement by an atrocious ruler, but still won and therefore got what he deserved. Finally, he returns to Greece where he experiences deification and was worshipped by many individuals that knew of his great voyage.
