Heroes Essay “Being brave means to know something is scary, difficult, and dangerous, and doing it anyway, because the possibility of winning the fight is worth the chance of losing it,” These wise words by Emilie Autumn expresses what a hero is really made out of and that anyone can be a hero. The movie Moana tells a story of a young girl who is destined to save the world by restoring the stolen heart of the monster Te Ka. Along the way, she meets a demigod named Maui, and she works together with him to stop the darkness. The Maze Runner is set in a dystopian future where Thomas, the main character, gets stuck in a maze with lots of other people. The maze is constantly changing and the doors to the maze close at night which leaves the grievers (monsters of the maze) to come out and kill whoever got left behind in the maze. Both Moana and The Maze Runner by James Dashner use characterization to show the key trait of a literary hero is bravery. Both of the movies have examples of the main characters being brave and stepping up to a chance of death to save their friends. Moana finale makes it to the where she has to restore the heart, but she comes across the monster Te Ka. When Moana isn't afraid to face the monster she really showed that she wasn’t afraid to do anything which is really brave of her to be that strong and do whatever she wants. As well as when Thomas showed his bravery when he willingly ran into the maze to save his friends. Both of these examples really show how brave these heroes can be and what they are capable of doing without any powers or abilities to save them. People should never be scared to do what they want and should never be told what they can or
