Hinduism has roots that go back to approx 1500 BCE in combination of Indus valley civilization and Aryan conquerors. Hinduism has no founder. Hinduism has three text the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad-Gita. The Vedas is the oldest text of ancient hymns. Hindu law,belief, and rites of passage. Upanishads are philosophical texts that deal with reality and eternity. It introduces the issue of reincarnation. Bhagavad-Gita is an epic poem that is written in the form of a dialogue between the hero Arjuna and the deity Krishna. The Hindus believe there is only one true god who is the creator of the universe. Hindus believe that when you die your soul will become immortalized. Hinduism and Buddhism are different because Hinduism believe in more than one god while Buddhism believe in only one god. People have asked if Hinduism and Buddhism are the same and the answer is no they are not the same. Buddhism has only one god and that is Siddhartha Gautama and he meditated for seven days and he became the Buddha. While Hinduism have one god and three deity. Brahma is their god and vishnu and shiva are the destroyer and preserver. Shiva has the role that he needs to destroy the universe in order to recreated. Ganesha role is to give good fortune and he is also the remover of obstacles. He is described as an elephant because his father gave him a elephant head. The rest of Ganesha body is a human body. He has a big stomach which symbolizes that he digest both all the good and bad in the world. His big ears symbolizes that we should listen more. His small mouth symbolizes that we should talk less and his small eyes symbolizes that we should concentrate more. Why I think that his ears, mouth and eyes are important because we should listen to others more better than we do and we should talk less because we talk to much and that we should concentrate more because we have to get a lot of stuff done and if we don’t then we will feel bad later on in our
