A movie may have several different components that may make up a specific genre. Genres makes it easier for the audience, as the categorization of genres lets the audience pick what sort of movie they would like to watch. Film genres give the audience information into the type movie it may be, this in turn helps them to decide whether the movie is suitable for them or not.

An auteur is a director that has a unique style in filming and has complete control of the production process of the film. The three films that I have chosen to focus on are E.T. It can be defined as a hint or trigger that makes the viewers willing to purchase the tickets and to spend their leisure time watching it. Elements of the French New Wave have been absorbed by the modern film industry and many unique styles and techniques are still present today. However, the New Wave did more than just contribute some new film techniques. The French New Wave created a societally and intellectually engaged cinema experience. The status of films became prestigious in a sense that they could spark political and social engagement and debate.
This premise states that a director has to develop a personal signature or personal style that is identifiable across all his or her films in order to be considered as an auteur. This is displayed by showing recurring, themes, motifs and habitual characteristics of style in their films. The third, and last premise, focuses on the “interior meaning” of the film. This refers to the relationship between the director and his influence on the interior meaning of a film. In order for any director to be labelled as a true auteur, he or she has to successfully tick off the above mentioned three premises of criteria in their films.
This isn’t the most realistic, as there is usually more than one individual working on a film, but the director is considered to be the guiding force. There was never a definite moment in which I knew I wanted to follow a career in medicine. I think for me it was a gradual realization, as if I was born to pursue this dream. I understand that many people feel as though they are destined to become doctors or surgeons, but I believe my determination and dedication to pursuing this career is unique for the many things that have influenced me to become interested in medicine. The Auteur Theory-Intro Part Considering the collaborative process of filmmaking, especially nowadays in most film production, the concept of there being a singular creative supervisor is debatable. Nonetheless one cannot deny the existence of directional motifs and instances of thematic and stylistic elements within the work of filmmakers like Tim Burton and Alfred Hitchcock. These directors indicate that within traditions and genres lies the overall definition of an auteur: a director whose inventive traits are listed throughout his/her work like a signature. Auteurism rose to the surface in the 1950s French New Wave criticism as an appraisal of Hollywood directors who were ready to avoid the rules of the studio system and create films that were distinctively their own.
