Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects lymph nodes throughout the body. There are two main classes of Lymphoma: Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma- with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma being more common than Hodgkin’s (source, year). It is difficult to distinguish which class of Lymphoma an individual has because they have many similarities. For example, they occur in the same places, can be linked with the same symptoms, and physically look the same. However, the class of Lymphoma an individual has can be determined by the type of cell affected. If a special cell, called the Reed-Sternberg cell, is present under a microscope, then the Lymphoma is classified as Hodgkin's (source, year). Every other kind of Lymphoma is called Non-Hodgkin’s
