She was old. She had her cat Henry, her sister Beatrice and now Hollis. It wasn’t long before the foster agency caught on to Josie’s condition and informed Hollis they were going to be rehoming her to a new family. Hollis couldn’t leave. She loved Josie and Beatrice had just gone on her dream vacation and Josie would be alone. Josie couldn’t be alone. Hollis acted quickly and packed their things to head to the Regan’s summer house up state. It was the only place Hollis knew to go. Josie went right along with Hollis’ plan. The summer house was great for only a short time until reality began to hit Hollis. She knew Josie belonged at her house. Hollis had been doing an excellent job at taking care of the two of them but a few strange occurrences had happened that puzzled Hollis. The day after Christmas Hollis decided she would walk to the nearest phone, four miles down the road, and call Beatrice. Josie would go home and Hollis would have to find a new one.
