In the 1930’s many tenagers were homless. They hopped on trains and rain away in hopes for a better life. Due to the lack of money, many families and teenagers lived off of food that was provided from churches and soup lines. Today only 1% of homeless are minors. That is because we can track the kids down and return them to their home or we can put them in a shelter. The main reason for homelessness still hasn’t changed, yet they are seen differently throughout the years. The main reason for people being homeless is still due to the lack of money.
