In the Victorian time the hospitals used health procedures that were dangerous and unsanitized. Today hospitals are known as places that help people to heal, however hospitals were mostly known as gates of death during the Victorian Era. Victorian hospitals were unsanitized and messy, also mostly the cause of death.

Health practices were very different in the victorian era than now.In the name of Health, Victorians flocked to the seaside, tramped about in the Alps or Cotswolds, dieted, took pills, sweated themselves in Turkish baths, adopted this "system" of medicine or that. sometime the Turkish baths did work in some cases they were for cleaning and relaxing.
