Do you know how Adolf Hitler and the German Nazis rose to power during the mid-1930s? It was incredible how evil they were, but how easy it was for them to gain popularity and power. Adolf Hitler was a very powerful individual who built up the Nazi’s program and succeeded his rise to an evil power. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis played a huge role in history.
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20th, 1889, in the small town of Braunau am Inn. Adolf Hitler’s parents were Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl Hitler. Adolf’s father was a custom official and his mother was a poor woman who came from a peasant family. Adolf had sisters named Paula and Angela and a brother named Alois. So many people were devastated with the results of the war and were struggling to get through their everyday lives. They felt the need to fight back and get what they believe they deserved. That’s where Hitler came into play. Adolf Hitler had offered solutions to the chaos that had taken place after World War II. His solutions were to get rid of the Jews for “stabbing the Germans in the back” during the war. He made promises to despoil Jewish financers, to have more security, and to control trade unionism. According to an electronical source on Adolf Hitler’s rise to power states “Hitler had a keen and sinister into mass psychology, and he was a master of intrigue and maneuver.” This made Hitler very manipulative and persuasive. Adolf Hitler gave speeches that encouraged national pride, militarism, commitment to the Volk, and most importantly a racially pure Germany. In the speeches, he gave he often degraded and commended the Jews and exploited his anti-sematic feelings towards them. The unemployment, poverty, and other severe effects of World War II continued to increase as the days went on, therefore, German people began to lean towards the Nazis beliefs and strategies. To gain more support than before the Nazis started using propaganda to get the people’s attention. The false promises the Nazis made also helped contribute to the growing of their supporters 3-7 (Holocaust Timeline, 3). Anti-Semitism was Adolf Hitler’s main theme, which is why Jewish hatred grew tremendously. There were anti-Jewish campaigns that caused Jews to be shot and killed at any time given. Hitler’s speeches encouraged these acts. They were a weakness and corrupted Germany. Everything that went bad was the Jews fault, they were vermin, they were capitalists and communists.
