Valentine’s Day Massacre. The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre was described as one of the most bloodiest killings in Chicago history. This occurred on February 14, 1229, at 10 o’clock in the morning, when five of Moran’s people and two more that were tied with the gang were in Lincoln Park where they were lined up by two of Al Capone’s men that were dressed like police to trick them. Then the seven of Moran’s men were shot over 200 times by Tommy guns. A couple of them were almost in half because of all of the shots.
The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre On February 14th, 1929, five of Al Capone’s gangsters murdered seven of George (bugs) Moran’s henchmen, this was called the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. In the longtime rivalry between Al Capone and Bugs Moran, Al finally got the upper hand by brutally murdering Moran’s henchmen. The feud between Capone and Moran, the battle of Prohibition and the aftermath of the massacre all consisted in the notorious St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. The feud between Al and Bugs started in 1925 when Capone took the lead of his South Side gang.

Perhaps the most infamous crimes he is suspected of being in charge of is the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in 1929, where he hired men to gun down rival gang member, Bugs Moran. Of the seven men killed that day, however, Moran was not one of them, as it was rumored that he had sensed the ambush and escaped before anyone else realized what was happening (“Al Capone,” FBI.gov). The police immediately knew who had staged this gang-inspired massacre, however, Capone was in Florida at the time, yet again making it nearly impossible for the local law enforcement to acquire evidence that would prove his involvement

Al Capone is a villain because he was a gangster in a gang that participated in organized crime in the United States. Al Capone had started to joining gangs when he was fourteen years old he joined the Forty Young Thieves. Crime in the U.S was not his first rodeo. He started by being a bouncer and a bartender at the Harvard Inn. Later joined a Torrio gang and started helping them with bootlegging in the city and making money.
Al Capone was a very powerful leader and an all around mastermind. Capone was raised around gangs in the city when he moved there from Naples and joined one in his teens called Johnny Torrio’s James Street Boys ran by Johnny Torrio. Later, he moved on to the Five Points Gang, which he graduated from. He got into a gang fight and someone cut his face with a razor hence the nickname “Scarface” (Grossman). When Torrio entered a brothel business he sent for Capone to be a bouncer at the saloon.
More than fifty years have gone by and Alphonse “Scarface” Capone remains as one of the most notorious mobsters ever to live. He was a man so strong and brutal he could take a guy out with a single blow, but there was also a side to him that added to his reputation; he was well respected throughout the city. He did not look for revenge and often, offered peace and forgiveness. Al Capone even made the man who gave him his nickname, Scarface, as one of his most prized body guards. Although many opinions about Al Capone vary among people, one can agree that though he was a ruthless mobster who would not let anyone stand in the way of his rule, he was also a community leader who supported the indigent and treated people with respect, often referred to as making them feel like family.
Valentine's Day Massacre. With the top spot of the north side organized crime business in need of leadership, the notorious "Bugs" Moran took over. Early in 1929, Moran struck the Capone south side crime gang when they gunned down one of Al Capone's men, Pasqualino Lolordo. This murder so infuriated Capone that he vowed to get even . An ambush was arranged through a contact in Detroit who contacted Bugs Moran to arrange a shipment of bootleg whiskey.

He rose to notoriety as the leader of the Chicago mafia during the Prohibition era. He had a personal fortune estimated at 100 million dollars as the head of the infamous crime syndicate. He was sent to prison in 1934 for tax evasion. He was a significant figure in the world of organized crime. Al Capone was one of the most famous mob bosses, if not “the” most famous.
Al Capone took advantage of prohibition in Chicago, and made a killing off of it. Al Capone, one of the most known gangsters in the world started to control part of the criminal activity after Johnny Torrio fled the country. He quickly rose to power and took control of his whole gang. He then started taking out other gangs to control the whole racket, so he could make the most money possible. January 17,

Al Capone was the most well known bosses there was. He was a very impactful leader. From eliminating rival gangs to running a successful alcohol business Al Capone did it all. Al Capone was a predator, people who got in his way were his prey. He did not just kill people to get what he wanted, he was successful in large crime organizations.
