The Terracotta army was discovered in 1974 and was believed to be one of China’s greatest creations, or so it has seemed that way for decades.What if it is possible that china’s artwork was just a copy of ancient Greece's artwork and sculptures? Scientists have just recently discovered that there may have been more interactions between ancient Greece and China than they previously thought there to be. It is a fact that Alexander the Great had entered China after conquering India and had influenced the Chinese architects and sculptors. Alexander the Great was the ruler of Greece 356-323 B.C.E. His lifelong dream was to expand Greece with him as the ruler, and that is exactly what he did. As Alexander made his journey across Europe and Asia he conquered Greece, India, Italy and China as well. One positive aspect of his conquering was that he respected other countries cultures and life. So instead of destroying the beauties of each country, he allowed them to live freely and celebrate their religions and beliefs freely. This allowed the spread of cultural diffusion to occur. Alexander the Great created a culture called the Hellenistic Culture. This was the combination of all of the different countries that Alexander took over. This correlates back to the theory that Greeks helped China build the Terracotta Army, because of the great amount of cultural diffusion, the theory that Alexander had something to do with some other countries greatest pieces of architecture may be completely
