In her diary, she concedes that she is inquisitive and talkative and comments about the other people who share the attic. Second, Ann was artistic because she kept several diaries during her stay in the Secret Annex. In them she described life in the Annex, her dreams, and her fears. She didn’t take the Annex like a prison she took it like an obstacle that she would escape over time. Third she is a rebel and spoiled by her father because, One person who has big arguments with Anne was her mother, Mrs. Frank.

In those 2 years Anne had disagreements with her family, met her love Peter Van Dann, she hated Mr and Mrs Van Daan, and had to cut their food supplies little by little so they were always hungry. On June 12th, 1942, Annelies Marie “Anne” Frank received a diary from her parents. Little did they know that the diary would later become one of the most critical pieces of information in World War II. In the beginning of her diary, it was just like any other teenage girl’s diary. She led a normal life, worrying about what she’d wear tomorrow or what her friends are doing.
To pass the time, Frank wrote extensive daily entries in her diary. Some betrayed the depth of despair into which she occasionally sunk during day after day of confinement. "I've reached the point where I hardly care whether I live or die," she wrote on February 3, 1944. "The world will keep on turning without me, and I can't do anything to change events anyway." However, the act of writing allowed Frank to maintain her sanity and her spirits.
"The Boy on the Wooden Box" is written in first person. This style allows the reader to see into the main character's mind and the reader gets to experience the events first hand. The writer probably used this style of writing to give the reader the feelings and emotions throughout the Holocaust. People have learned and heard about the Holocaust, but they haven't been able to experience it. Since the main character is Leon Leyson, the reader takes on the role of his life.
Anne hopes that she lives on through her diary and everything that happened to her is remembered. Writing the diary is an act of remembrance. According to the text, “So, dear Diary, that means I must leave you behind. Good-bye for awhile. P.S. Please, please, Miep, or Mr. Kraler, or anyone else.
Anne Frank was a 16 year old girl who was killed during the time of the Natzis after being betraied. From her over packed diary, Anne changed how people looked at the world. When she was hiding in the annex during the war, her diary was her most prized possession and with that diary, she wrote everything from things she did, to what she wished she did instead of hiding in the annex for the years. She was in the annex with 8 people including her and was packed, one bit of noise would give them away. After the war was over, Anne’s diary was published and written in 67 different languages and over 30 million copies were sold.
World War 2 was a tragic time in history, millions of people taken to concentration camps and were either executed instantly or sent to work, Anne frank was taken to one of these concentration camps but before that she was locked in an annex with 8 other people for 25 months without going outside and was living under very strict rules. The Diary Of Anne Frank is a primary source that tells us about Anne as a jew going through the struggles of WW3. In 1955, Anne's diary was adapted into a play that was directed by Garson Kanin. The play gives us chronological events following what is written in Anne’s Diary such as the nazi persecution of Jews in Amsterdam, causing the frank family to go into hiding with the Van-Daans, difficulties of the attic hideout with conflicts that may come with hiding, and the aftermath of the wart. the events portrayed in the play The Diary Of Anne Frank align with historical events and portray them in a way that effectively shows how the characters respond and bond with one another over it.
At age 13, Anne Frank received her diary for her birthday during the time of the Holocaust. Anne was too young to be experiencing such a tragic event, but she found ways to cope with it. She wrote about every event that occurred during her time in the Secret Annex with 8 other occupants. Anne was very intelligent and surely good at writing. Anne could change the emotion of any event.

Over the course of the story other characters join the family into hiding such as Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and their son Peter. During the time of hiding, Anne kept a diary to write down all her thoughts, fears, and feelings and was later known to be the most important piece of literature from the times of the Holocaust. The story takes you through their everyday lives of hiding in the annex which also includes arguing and times of happiness.
It was on her 13th birthday that she got a diary. In her diary, she wrote about her friendships, crushes and her academic performance at school. Anne had an older sister named Margot, and they attended a Jewish school in Amsterdam. In this diary, the Franks moved to Netherlands from Germany because they feared prosecution. After the Germans invaded the Netherlands in 1940, the Franks, another family called the van Daans and Mr Russell hid in a small secret annex above Otto Frank’s, Anne’s father’s office.
Frank wrote about experiences she faced, which she linked it back to human rights. The website, Anne Frank and her diary, explain that Anne wrote and analyzed unfair circumstances, “She writes that when a Jew does something to someone, it immediately reflects on all Jew, while this does not apply to Christians.” Anne was able to draw many conclusions from different inhumane actions. This made people reflect on the inhumanity during Anne’s time, and come understand the message of human rights. Otto Frank also talks about Anne’s desires with the diary.
