The rise and fall of power of Benito Mussolini has brought up questions about when and why did this happen to someone so powerful just all of a sudden in that time period? Many people know Mussolini as he was the Italian prime minister for 21 years from 1922 to 1943. The early life of Mussolini is being the first child from a local blacksmith on July 29 1883. Mussolini’s family was claimed to be less humble. His family was extremely poor, living in a house with two crowded rooms and barely any money to even eat with the rest of his other three siblings. Even though Mussolini was incredibly smart in school as a kid, he was very troublesome. He was disobedient, a bully at school and moody at home. Mussolini started to have an effect in the war when he heard in 1935; mussolini defied the league of nations but Britain and France failed to act. When more and more years kept going on Mussolini said “ March blindly with the Germans, the Germans might do good business cheaply.”(Hibbert) Meaning by this quote mussolini thought that he had this war in the bag and won since hitler and Germany didn’t have anything.
