The collapse of the economic had began in 1929. Herbert Hoover was known because he ha run for the food administration in World War 1. Alfred E. Smith was the four time governor in New York, he was Roman Catholic to win a majors party for president. On March 4,1929 they had an audience of 50,000 land lide. Herbert went to the White House that swept everything into stock prices. The bull market was a long period of rising stock prices. If they fall they had to get rid of them quickly. 1929 market had lasted long as investor. The danger began to sell off. Monday October 21, 1929 Groucho by telephone call from his broker. Marx had also wiped them out. The final visit was to brokerage firm, as Groucho spotted his broker. Black Tuesday is important …show more content…

For entertainment 60 million people went to the movies to watch the child star Shirley Temple the child star and Jackie Coogan. Animal Crackers was a comedian movie that was very popular because the bad days people had just had to watch that to feel better. I also learned that Walt Disney brought cartoons Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs in 1937. Another good movie that caught everyone eyes was Wizard Of Oz the movie lifted everybody spirit. Hattie McDaniel also was a women who won the award for Best Supporting Actress she did very good at her job. Made everyone love her more. Soap Operas was a nicknamed to big thing to that came from the Guilding Light. Which led to the novelist John Steinbeck and book journalist who later on became famous with William Faulkner who later won the Nobel Prize for the Literature. Hoover requested in 1932 to setup Reconstruction Finance Corperation to give loan to the businesses it had many banks railroads and banks get a big loan. This comes to the place of helping the citizens which in the Great Depression opposed the federal government in relief of its families federal gave measure to have increase and the congress to passed the Emergency Relief and Construction
