John Locke, one of the most influential writers in history, born August 29, 1632 in Wrington, United Kingdom and died October 28, 1704 in High Laver, United Kingdom. He was 72 when he died. John Locke wisely affected the government of the United States. He affected the understanding of, religion, economics, and politics that still influence the structure, environment, and public administration. He was known for his view of powers held and for his ideas about property as the basis for success. He was an inspiration to many people including Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Immanuel Kant, he helped figure out the way the american government runs today. He modified the more radical teachings of Thomas Hobbes and Niccolo Machiavelli. His politics, appear from the involvement of underlying radical, modern premises about religion and morality. He was born in 1588, and died 1679. Throughout his life, Hobbes believed that the only true form of government was an absolute monarchy. He argued that, forcefully would be the only way to get respect from the people. He also believed in only certain people having rights. Hobbes believed in people who were born with rights that they hand over to the monarch and get protection. This is known as social contract. On the other hand John Locke believed in a Democracy were as people were equal and everyone had the right of civil rights. There were many different things about the way they thought for example hobbes thought that people were wicked, selfish, and cruel and would act on behalf of their best interests.
