Martin Luther King Impact on Civil Rights Imagine living in a society where violence is the first step to solving every problem. How would you feel? Well, Malcolm X was completely for violence while Martin Luther King was against it. Martin Luther King wanted a more peaceful society and he showed that in many ways. King had a bigger impact on the Civil Rights movement because of his peaceful approach, leadership qualities and his inspiring speaking skills. He did this with the Montgomery bus boycott. He protested after Rosa Parks, a civil rights activist, got thrown off the bus for sitting in a white mans seat (Mach, 2012). King helped to find the Southern Christian Leadership Conference which was a highly influential civil rights organization to end segregation.
