Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 15, 1929 under the union of Pastor Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King. He attended a segregated public schools and at the age of 15, he was admitted to Morehouse College where he graduated in 1948. He was ordained in 1947 of the Baptist Church in Atlanta. Dr. King continue his education by entering Crozen Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor in 1951. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. became minister of the Baptist Church in Montgomery Ala in 1954. Dr. King later enrolled at the Boston University where he earned his doctorate degree in systematic theology in 1955. He met his wife Coretta Scott in Boston and the two got married in 1953. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on the evening of April 4, 1968 leaving behind his wife and four children namely: Yolanda Denise King, Martin Luther King lll, Dexter Scott King and Bernice Albertine King. Martin Luther King, because of the huge historical impact he played in seeking the interest of the common people of this great nation America. Dr. Martin Luther King fought for peace, unity and civil liberty for all Americans. Dr. King who was an out spoken advocate for the less unfortunate Americans and for civil begin his struggle in the mid-1950s when he led a Montgomery bus boycott. Blacks were segregated and were not allow to entered buses, schools and other public areas that were dominated by white.
