How Did Oedipus Kill His Father

Would you marry your mother or kill your father? Well, Oedipus didn’t have a choice. His fate was sealed no matter who he was raised by or in what kingdom. In this story of Oedipus he was faced with a decision, to kill or not to kill. His choice leads to a series of tragic events to a noble man.
Most people would think being born of a royal family would be fun and easy, Oedipus proves it isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. His biological parents went to an oracle about their son and he said “You will gave a child but the child will kill you and sleep with his mother.” Oedipus was then abandoned and found by another royal family. He has a somewhat difficult time dealing with his adoption and all the people who said badly about him because of it. Being of royalty was nice at first, but this proves there are always secrets within every family, royal or not.
This adoption led to the conclusion that Oedipus is arrogant and full of himself. This is the reason he killed his father. He left his home and met his father and his father’s men at a crossroad. At the time Oedipus didn’t know he was the murderer. Creon, Oedipus’ step brother, tries to tell him that he was the murderer. Of course Oedipus doesn’t believe him and is offended that he would assume he would do such a thing as murder a king. As Creon keeps pushing and Oedipus starts to hear the story of how Laius was killed he starts to put things together, Creon was right. He was shocked that he didn’t figure it out sooner. He cursed himself, and everyone who cursed the murderer had cursed him to. It was like a light switch in his brain that he, someone of royalty and great respect, could murder another person of royalty
