Oswaldo Guayasamin was born in 1919 and died in 1990. He graduated from The School of Fine Art as painter and sculptor. Now today many of his artworks are shown around the world. Oswaldo did his entire work for peace. One of his famous drawings is the Las manos del Terror, this image shows the racism and divisions in South America. He created this drawing to show people what was going on and how they can help. It’s important to the country because it inspires people to be their better self. It makes people also feel the heaviness of the larger than life primal images.
