Being in a world where change is constant, one student hopes to make their mark in the school. Senior Anna Wilson is hoping to leave her class’ legacy behind by creating something that would stay a part of West Fargo High School’s history forever. Anna Wilson came to the West Fargo High School Art Club with a proposal. With the recent removal of the art display cases under the main staircase, student artists now have limited ways to exhibit their artwork. Wilson was disappointed that Art Club members did not give her the support she was hoping for. “I thought they were going to me more excited about it but a lot of them were still really upset about the display case being taken away so it did not get as much support as I …show more content…

Although she can not do paintings in the lunchroom, Wilson encourages others to push for more art in the school. “I am hoping with this project that people follow my lead and take initiative to do this again. I would love to start a class thing like that because it would be really cool and make the school more creative and a better place to be at.” said Wilson. Wilson is encouraging others to join the 15 other students that are involved in this project. Senior Krystal Wright has been involved with this project ever since Wilson brought it up to the Art Club. She decided to stick with it, thinking that the project was a good way to get involved. “I was there when Anna first introduced the idea of the mural and I was really interested.” said Wright. “I am excited to be a part of such a cool project.” Wilson’s overall goal with this mural is to leave her legacy and hopes to inspire others to make a change. “In the grand scheme of things, yes it is just a painting, and yes all I am doing is painting on a small wall in our high school, but it’s a
