America is very similar to Ancient Rome, but there are several differences. For example, the Roman Empire "fell" and America is still “standing”. Before ancient Rome “fell”, Rome started out as a small settlement of farmers on the Palatine hill. About one hundred years later, Rome became a republic. The Roman Empire started when Pax Romana or Roman peace began in 27 BCE under the rule of Augustus Caesar.
Rome had a big impact because of medicine and science. They made many types of medicine. One to help a bad cough. One to ease pain. We have many medicines to help with headaches, scrapes, cuts, and many other pains.
The Fall of the Roman Empire In ancient Rome there was a lot of change that was always happening. Around 50 BCE until 200 CE the Roman empire was the key to everyone's problems in the Mediterranean world. Some of the changes in the Roman empire caused death and assassinations.

With the over expansion of land and overspending of the military combined with the corrupt government and the wars between the religions, the entire structure of the Roman Empire was 4 damaged. This last strike, in 476 A.D., caused the once powerful and mighty Roman Empire to fall. As they say, Rome was not built in a day, and it did not fall in a day either. It was a combination of all of these events taking place that brought this mighty empire to its knees.

The legendary Roman Empire lasted from 753 B.C.E. all the way until 1453 A.D. However Rome split in two at about 395 A.D. which crippled the ancient Rome we know. So really ancient Rome lived from 753 B.C.E. to 476 A.D. But the name of Rome continued on in the Byzantine empire for about another 1000 years. Yet many people nowadays still refer to Rome as one of the greatest ancient civilizations of all time.
