Imagine being forced to move because the government is changing the native language of a country. Having big riots or the government being overthrown in the parts where others did not agree with what was going on, this was known as the Sri Lankan Genocide. This genocide was the only genocide that impacted Sri Lanka. In this paper the origin, conflicts, repercussions, preventions, and overall impact of this genocide will be discussed to get a deeper understanding behind it all.
